I made several of these wine cork Christmas tree ornaments to sell in my booth when we lived in Georgia, but I never got around to sharing them with you. You have probably seen these around, but I did add one little twist.
You’ll need 10 wine corks. (I found a jar full of corks at a thrift store- score!)
This is so easy. Just hot glue the corks together as shown. Make sure to add your loop of ribbon or jute twine before gluing the last cork at the top.
Now for the little twist. See the tree trunk? Instead of adding another cork, I scavenged that bauble from the miraculous coffee table that never seems to run out of parts. The wooden diddly has a dowel glued into the end where it was attached to the table top. I simply twisted and pushed it into the base of the cork tree.
Another option would be to glue a chunky cinnamon stick to the base. Or how about a pretty cabinet knob?
These wine cork Christmas tree ornaments would work great as gift tags or place cards. Simply use a permanent marker to write the name either on the face of the tree or along the side of one of the corks. See? Easy!
There are tons of wine cork crafts out there- which ones have you tried, or have on your “some day” list?
