Valentine decorating isn’t something I normally do. Actually, I don’t really decorate for holidays other than Christmas. But our entry table is a great place to add a little Valentine decor without much effort.
What better way to celebrate love than to remember God’s expression of true love, explained in John 3:16. I created a Valentine printable that you can download if you wish.
Print and trim the page- it will be just under 7 inches square. You’ll also need a black sheet of paper cut to about 8 1/2″ square. The fleur de lis page is 12″ square, found at Michael’s.
Center and glue the black page onto the scrapbook sheet, then glue the printable on top of the black. I added a fleur-de-lis gottten from the clearance section at Hobby Lobby.
Oh, almost forgot- because my scrapbook page was clear, I had to glue a piece of white paper to the back. You may or may not need to do that depending on what paper you use. Then I just propped it against the entry table lamp.
I perched a bird and excelsior “nest” on a chunky pewter candle stick. In honor of the season, we’ll call him a love bird, ok?
I love the candle wrapped in a hymnal page. That hymnal is getting lots of mileage! 🙂
The bunting is made from jingle bells and heart Christmas ornaments gotten on clearance at 70% off at Target.
How about you? Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day?
