  • Heard at church last Sunday from Pastor Marcus: "God has given us this earthly existence to produce an eternal impact." Sometimes a simple statement needs a bit of ruminating. My first reaction was a little stab to the heart. What have I done that has had any eternal significance? Nothing lofty or magnificent in my life. However, the Holy Spirit reminded me, just this morning, of the widow and her mite, a seemingly insignificant act, an act that Jesus saw. Did you catch that? Jesus saw! The key to its impact wasn't its size, but her obedience. Don't let the enemy hinder you with whispers of inadequacy. Listen instead to the Holy Spirit inside you who will direct your days. As you walk in obedience, your life WILL have eternal impact.
  • So, unbeknownst to us, a bird built a nest underneath a cushion on one of our porch chairs. I discovered the nest after hearing our mail lady screaming omg and other colorful things, running down our sidewalk, waving her hands in the air. I hesitantly cracked the door open to see what had scared her off, but couldn't see anything. I suspected the bird that kept messing with my wreath, but Richard had gotten aggravated with her persistence and removed the wreath. I snooped around and sure enough, there's a nest with 5 tiny eggs inside. I guess she showed us.
  • A nice relaxing time on our cruise a couple of weeks ago. Just a little shopping and a whole lot of doing nothing. Aaaah!
  • My dwarf irises are blooming! I originally found them growing wild in our woods (at a different house) over 25 years ago. I dug some up for my mom, my mom died, we moved several times, I dug some up from the ones I gave Mom, and planted them here. They are part of our family history and make me smile. 😊 #wildflowers #gardening #heritagegardening #irises #dwarfirises #yeahthatgreenville
