  • Who has tried #chaffles? It seems to be a thing now, so I tried making my own chaffle bread. Most people are suggesting to buy a mini waffle iron, but any waffle iron works just fine. Here's my basic recipe, great as a gluten free, low carb substitute for bread. (Change cheeses, add seasonings as you like.) Stir together: 1 egg, beaten 1 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella 2 Tablespoons almond flour 1/8 teaspoon baking powder Spread onto waffle iron and follow directions for your iron. Makes 1 waffle in my Belgian waffle iron. (Let them cool a few minutes if you like them crispy.) For pizza chaffle bread, sprinkle with Italian seasoning and parmesan before closing lid. After it's done, top with pepperoni and close lid for a few more seconds. Dip pieces in marinara. Yum!
