One of the prizes in the big giveaway I won a few weeks ago was a $350 credit from Red Letter Words. It was incredibly hard to narrow it down from so many beautiful quotes, but I finally chose these lines from the hymn Great is Thy Faithfulness.
This canvas is a large 30 x 40 inches, a great size for the blank wall going up our stairs. I love that it is so prominent from our living room, a needed reminder every day. God’s faithfulness truly is great- wow, what an understatement!
We have a ladder that adjusts on both sides, so it works well on stairs, and made it relatively easy to hang the canvas. The ladder is way too heavy for me to maneuver, so Richard did the setup and hanging. Me? I’m the point person (or is that pointer?) Put it there. No, over a tad. Yeah, that looks good.
To get your bearings, the door at the top of the stairs is the front guest bedroom. The doorway at the bottom left of the picture goes into the kitchen. The door beyond that goes into the garage. The doorway at the bottom right of the picture is the dining room and to the right of that is the front door (with the transom window). Lost yet? Me, too!
The tall ceilings in this house make it difficult to figure out what to put on the walls. I vacillate between keeping everything low to make the rooms feel more cozy, and doing something dramatic by hanging stuff (whatever it may be- ack, another decision!) all the way up. So, I haven’t done much of anything.
Hopefully, this Red Letter Words canvas will get me moving in one direction or another! What do you do on 2-story walls? Do you prefer dramatic or cozy?
