When I read about the Summer Pool Noodle Party, I thought I would give it a try. I didn’t get to hang this little project outside yet, but I can show you how to make this quick and easy pool noodle craft– patio umbrella lights.
I intended to make this as a light for our patio table umbrella, but there are some wasps that need to be dealt with first.
Slice the noodle into about 1/4 to 1/2 inch slices. Mine weren’t very consistent.
Attach it to a set of outdoor Christmas lights. I used a needle to pull thread through the slice, then tied onto the lights, spaced after every 3 lights. It would be a good idea to use fishing line for outdoors so that it doesn’t disintegrate in the sun and rain. Wire would work, too, but might rust, depending on what you use.
Pretend these are attached to an umbrella.
And that some of the lights aren’t burned out. ~sigh~
I do wish I had been able to position this little pool noodle craft on our patio umbrella, but I’m going to Haven today and I need to get myself together- woo-hoo! See you back here in a few days!
