Happy Wednesday! We’ve had a lot of new friends join the Plum Doodles family lately, so I thought I’d give you a recap of some of my most memorable projects. I originally wrote this little roundup as a guest over at Debbiedoo’s, so if you are a friend of Debbie’s also (and you should be ๐ ), I hope you don’t mind a repeat.
When I was thinking about what to write, for some reason I thought of high school yearbooks. I know, random. I donโt even know if they still do this, but remember the โsuperlatives?โ You know, Most Likely to Succeed, Most Popular, etc. Well, hereโs my take on that in the life and times of Plum Doodles.
Most Popular
My most popular post has been my Garden Trellis Headboard. I simply took three garden trellises, wired them together, and propped them behind the bed. This year, I finally got around to attaching the trellises to the wall!
Most Pinned
Most pinned has been Giving a Standard Vanity Furniture Style, which we did by adding feet and decorative trim along the bottom.
Most Dramatic Makeover
This Early American to French Country Rocking Chair Makeover was the biggest change on any furniture piece Iโve done.
Now, I should tell you that things donโt always go as planned. Hence,
Biggest Nightmare Makeover
I could almost swear this table was possessed. I refinished it so many times, and the finish just would not stick. Anyone remember Green Acres? Remember how every time they had their house painted, it would mysteriously revert back to its old weathered look? This dining room table was my Green Acres project.
Sooo, that should give you a good taste of what goes on around here. I hope you will stick around and join the fun!
Doodles,
Partying here:
thanks for the roundup… I am a newbie – so haven’t seen these. I LOVE your style. Am planning on being you when I grow up
:o)
I remember most of those projects and they are all wonderful…I have to say my favorite was the headboard!
I really enjoyed seeing this little roundup of some of your projects, Sheila. Even though it sounds like you had a slew of problems with that table, it sure looks great now!
Thanks so much for the round up, I love all of them, even the nightmare! I love the dark top with those chairs! You’re one of my favorite people! <3
Beautiful projects Sheila! You do lovely work xox
I remember these well! Each one is so unique and jaw dropping! The rocking chair was on of my favorites; it’s so cute! I love the trellis idea for a headboard and the vanity is stunning now! I thought your idea of painting the kick board black was great! You always amaze me and I admire that you are fearless in tackling a project!
I loved that chair still do!
