My big yard sale find of the summer- a mid-century modern dresser and chest of drawers. I had planned to paint them and then try to sell them. However, when I got them home, I just couldn’t bring myself to paint the gorgeous walnut veneer on the frames.
And the contrasting light color of the maple veneer drawers was just too pretty. The label on the back indicated they were made in 1953. Dove-tailed drawers, all solid wood/veneer.
I decided to put them on Craig’s List after just a little clean-up. If they didn’t sell, I could always go back to my original plan of painting. Several people responded to the ad and I sold them to the first person who looked at them- yay! 🙂
What do you think? Would you paint them? I had thought about doing them in graduated shades of turquoise. Maybe next time….
