Something has been bugging me for awhile now. The perceived anonymity of the triple dub-ya seems to have spawned the notion that we don’t need to worry about others’ feelings. Kindness and maturity are irrelevant. I’m entitled to my opinion and I’ll spew it whenever and where ever I want, no matter who gets drenched in the overspray. I feel a little sick to my stomach.
Maturity is refraining from speaking my mind if it won’t accomplish grace. Perhaps the key is to have the mind of Christ?
Ephesians 4:29 speaks about letting only edifying words come from the mouth. I’m thinking this applies to typed words coming from my fingers as well.
Anyone else wondering where kindess and maturity have gone? Tired of seeing childish comments and just plain meanness dirtying up your computer?
(No, this post isn’t a result of any nasty comments toward me personally. I just don’t like to see anyone’s joy drowned by the pettiness of others.)
