Last time, I left you dazed and confused with how to add cording trim to a pillow. Today, I thought I’d continue the madness and show you how to sew an invisible seam. You know, to close the pillow you just added cording trim to.
Follow this graphic, stitching along the fold of the seam allowance. (I think this is called a ladder stitch.)
Notice that you start just below where your machine stitching ended at one end of the opening.
Here I’ve taken the first stitch, bringing the needle out next to the machine stitching.
Continue stitching from side to side until you get to the opposite end of the opening.
Pull your stitches tight and knot to finish the seam.
