Hey, guys, I need your help with window treatments for the keeping room makeover. I have been stumped about just what to do, so I haven’t done anything.
One of the issues is the corner windows to the right of the fireplace, to the left of the tv stand. How do I add curtain rods to the corner?
On the other side of the tv stand:
One window to the left of the fireplace. I think I want to do a different treatment for the set of three windows in the adjacent breakfast area. So there’s another dilemma on how to separate the two, yet tie them together somehow.
So, here’s what I’m thinking right now. Short rods to one side of each window with a single panel- purely decorative, no need to close the drapes since we have blinds. Here is a little mockup of the rod placement. Try to imagine them with drapery panels.
I like the idea of the rod finial at the center rather than at the end, but not sure if the reality is weird. Those corner windows make having a finial on the outside end difficult. Also, the windows on either side of the fireplace butt up to the fireplace, so any finial on that end would hang over the mantel.
Too weird? Another possibility is to attach fabric to a short piece of wood in each of those locations, no finial. What would you do? Any suggestions on fabric would be a big help, too!
