Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I know some people who do their Christmas shopping throughout the year (smart!), but sadly I am not one of those. Today, I want to offer you a little help with gift ideas for the DIYers on your list. I asked several of my DIY blogging buddies for their fave, must-have, and wish-I-had-one lists. I have included their affiliate links for your convenience, plus a few of my own faves.
Stocking Stuffers/ Gifts Under $20:
DIYers can never have too many good quality paint brushes. Kathy from Petticoat Junktion loves her Purdy brushes. She says, “I hate getting brush hairs in my paint and I never have that problem with Purdy.”
Another goodie to tuck into a stocking- this set of painter’s pyramids, great for keeping your paint project slightly elevated so you can work right to the edges. Those little points also minimize the surface area that is touched when you turn the project over to paint the other side.
Gifts Under $100:
Who says a DIYer can’t be pretty in pink? Barb from The Everyday Home recommends this leather tool belt. I have a plain old brown one, and it really is handy. I keep my cell phone in there while in the middle of painting. I wish it was purple….
“My newest must-have is this lighting set. No need to wait for certain times of days for lighting to be just right… I was shocked to see it under 100.. it’s $59!”
(I struggle with lighting in my indoor photos, so I ordered this set with an Amazon gift card I received for my birthday, can’t wait to get it!)
Gifts Over $100:
If you really want to surprise your favorite DIY-er, splurge on these ideas.
This Bosch jigsaw has been on my wish list for a good long while now. Hint, hint, anyone….?
When I asked my DIY friends for their gift suggestions, I had no idea it would be such a dangerous question. Sometimes it’s easier to be content with what you have when you don’t know what you don’t have. That was a mouth full, wasn’t it?
Anyway, I hope these gift ideas for the DIYers on your list will give you a good starting point for your shopping. Remember, though, spending time with someone is much more memorable and meaningful than spending money.
