Remember the Framed Key project using thrift store finds? Well, there were several keys in that bag, so you’re probably gonna’ be seeing key projects pop up until you’re sick of them occasionally. This is basically the same project with a little additional graphic.
Prime and paint the frame, then glaze. Cover the cardboard backing that came with the frame with drop cloth fabric. Then hot glue the key into place and used wire to secure it, just like the previous framed key. I added a little silver Rub‘n Buff to highlight the details. Pop it into the frame. Sorry, I didn’t get a picture at this point.
The key looked a little lost in the frame, so I decided to add a little sumpin-sumpin (how do you spell that non-word, anyway?).
Remember the bulletin board I made? Well, I used parts of the same graphic from Graphics Fairy for this project. Print the image on a laser printer and trim as desired. Place the images upside down on the fabric and rub the back with a cotton ball soaked with CitraSolv until the image is transferred.
Ah, much better!
I still have a few more keys to work with. Got any ideas for me, or should I keep boring you with framed keys?!
