DIY French Graphic Pillow

As much as I love shopping at thrift stores, I also love wandering the aisles at places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Especially the clearance aisles.

Of course, the purple trim on this pillow caught my eye, and at $11 for a down-filled pillow, I knew I couldn’t make one for a better price.

I love the nubby weave of the cotton cover, the perfect canvas for a graphics transfer using Doodle Magic. I chose the French Typography Flower Seller graphic from Graphics Fairy.

What is your favorite thrifty non-thrift store? Found any bargains lately? Do tell!

  1. Love your purple pillow find as it was and then you made it into a gem. I like TJ Maxx and Home Goods.

  2. I love how you updated the pillows Sheila.

  3. Sheila, you turned this pillow into a little jewel! I would guess purple would catch your eye! I, too, love T.J. Maxx and Marshalls! I haven’t been bargain hunting lately though. I love the graphics! You really know how to make a plain pillow shine! Have a fantastic weekend!

  4. aawwww Maybe my next color will be purple, right now I am still in the peacock stage. Is that your sofa and is it purple??? Looks great and I love the pillows. I agree , for the price you cant make a down pillow all done as pretty as this is. ♥♥♥

  7. Just beautiful. My fave thrift non thrift stores are Kmart and the reject shop it’s always hit and miss but sometimes I get some great scores.
