Way too often, I fall into the trap of complaining about what isn’t right in my life. Too many headaches, for example. Aches and pains and forgetfulness as I get older. Focusing on those things can really be depressing. So I need a kick reminder occasionally to give thanks in all things. I created this decoupage grateful tile as a reminder to have a grateful heart.
I found several of these tiles last year while on a walk through the woods near our house.
I’m grateful for strength to walk and sight to enjoy God’s amazing creation.
After cleaning, I used a masonry bit to drill two holes for hanging the tile, then sprayed one coat of primer.
I’m grateful for a work space and the tools to create.
I printed “Grateful” on a page pulled from a music book. Rather than applying just one piece of paper onto the tile, I tore bits of music pages and applied to the tile. Then I tore around the word and added it last. After a top coat of decoupage medium was dry, I sprayed with a clear coat, then glazed, then another coat of clear spray.
I’m grateful for paint. Is that silly? Just think what incredible transformations come about with just a little paint. I love paint.
I’m especially grateful for all of you. It has been an amazing experience “meeting” so many new friends through this blog. You all are such a blessing. ♥
