I mentioned that I recently bought my own laser printer to use for my graphics transfers using Doodle Magic. I was excited to find that I can also transfer color graphics from this printer. My first color transfer project is this picnic basket.
I used two graphics from The Graphics Fairy: Iron Scrollwork and Bird with Lilacs. The color transfers don’t seem to transfer quite as well as the black and white graphics. Here is a side by side comparison with the original copy.
Just as with the black and white graphics, it will take a bit of practice to get the hang of the color transfers. Definitely more of a vintage, worn look.
I’m looking forward to playing more with color graphics transfers using Doodle Magic. Copies of old postcards, recipe cards, kids’ drawings- wouldn’t they be fun transferred onto something more permanent?
