I’m finding that the hardest design decision to make in our building home adventure is the lighting. Our budget is pretty small, so I have worked out how to save on lighting by going super cheap in the closets and bedrooms, and using lots of recessed lighting throughout the house.
Since the dining room fixture should be a good design feature, I have been focusing most of my attention on it, and it has me stumped. How to keep it in budget and not be the same old same old. I’d love a little French Country flair, but can’t seem to hit the right notes.
Here are some of the options I am considering. Top on my list today is from Designers Fountain (though I change my mind daily, or sometimes hourly):
This one from Millennium is my second favorite:
I like the curves on this one, but it looks a little too early American:
Sometimes I look at this one and really like it. Then, I look again and it seems rather modern.
I think my waffling and indecision is because I’m not in love with any of them. Do I need to be in love with a light fixture…? Would you choose any of these? Do you know of any lighting resources for finding the perfect French country/cottage-y chandelier?
