It sure is hard to work on projects when the weather won’t cooperate. We’re having another round of snow and ice, so our unheated basement is too chilly for painting. I have been working on some of my small projects upstairs, mostly in the kitchen where there is a bit of open space. A couple of the latest items have a beehive theme.
Working with beehive graphics made me curious about unusual uses for honey.
Did you know honey is a good antimicrobial and can be used on scrapes and burns? Try a dab on pimples, too.
The second project featuring a beehive graphic is this wood crate.
If you color your hair regularly like I do, you probably have dry, damaged locks. Apply a small amount of honey to the ends of your hair, let sit for a few minutes, then rinse.
I decided to give the crate a split personality, so it has a number graphic on the other end, one of the same graphics I created for the numbered canister set.
Try this recipe for sore throat: Spiced Honey Tea. I haven’t tried it, but it sounds yummy for these cold winter days.
(All the graphics on these projects were transferred using Doodle Magic.)
Do you have any unusual uses for honey?
