It’s weird that I keep bringing home these mid century modern pieces when I personally prefer country French style. They are so well-built, though, and it seems a shame to see them neglected. So, I give you another mid century modern makeover, this time in teal. (Yeah, I know the pictures show bright blue- trust me, it’s teal.)
So, you remember Harry’s big makeover. Well, a little birdie told me that this is Harry’s long-lost sister, Josephine. Yeah, she’s a bit of a tomboy and never terribly concerned with her appearance, until Harry found her online and wanted to meet her. She was now ready for a makeover.
Oops, caught her without her drawers.
Ah, here they are, a better look at her original finish.
She had taken a few tumbles in her adventurous ways, which left a few scars. (This picture was taken after I stripped her top and started sanding.)
After a lot more sanding, wood filler, a coat of primer, a couple of coats of teal paint, and two coats of satin varnish, Josephine was ready to meet her brother.
Oh, and her hardware got a fresh coat of black spray paint.
Do you think Harry will approve of his sister’s mid century modern makeover?
