Hey, fellow doodlers! I have some exciting news, and a little confession! Sooo, you know all those projects I’ve been doing with graphics transfers? For the last couple of months, I have actually been testing my own product, Doodle Magic transfer medium.
1. Fabric Covered Memo Board 2. French End Table with Postcard Graphics 3. French Tray 4. Round French Graphic Wall Art 5. Numbered Canister Set
Yep, I bottled my first batch a couple of weeks ago and am now selling it in my booth. I also sold my first wholesale order to another local shop the same week.
Oh, you want to know what Doodle Magic transfer medium is? Well, it’s an all natural solvent extracted from citrus peels, which can be used to transfer toner-based graphics to wood or fabric. I go into more detail about how to use it in the Doodle Magic link above.
The trickiest part has been making the labels. I wanted to keep it consistent with the labels I use on the décor items I sell, so right now, I’m cutting them out with my Silhouette Cameo. I have been having problems with it, though, so I really need to figure out a better/ quicker/ inexpensive way to make labels.
What do you think of the name? Silly?
Doodles,
Way to go, girl! Excited for you & proud of your risk taking.
I’m so impressed and very proud of you!
Love the name! The packaging is too cute! Wishing you boatloads of success! 🙂
Well, aren’t you clever! And the name is clever too! Good for you!
Wonderful! God does open new doors all the time. I assume you can use this without having a “replicator.” Can’t wait to see how you do it. 🙂
Sheila, I adore the name! Perhaps you could create a shop on your blog and sell this!
Sheila, I love the name! It’s perfect for your branding! It’s magic, for sure! Your transfers are always great! So many people have difficulty using other methods; this is just perfect! I love the containers and labels!
Sounds like it’s about time to start an Etsy store! 😉
Really? You entrepreneur you! : ) It sounds great, Sheila, and you’ve certainly gotten some great results. Let me know if you plan on any online orders. I’d love to try it.
I love it, you actually made your own, you are brilliant and doodles/pictures awesome. Congrats my friend (maybe you can share with a friend in a far off land, lol)
