Merry Christmas! Our kids are home for the holidays, so I’m popping in today to wish you much joy and peace and contentment in your celebrations of our Savior’s birth. I can never think of His birth without also thinking of His sacrifice. Dare I say, one without the other would be meaningless.
I have been blessed with many new relationships through this little blog, and I treasure them. My sweet friend Kathy from Creative Home Expressions surprised me with the perfect stocking- purple toile! May you remember His gift to you as you exchange gifts this Christmas season.
Meeting Carmen from Carmen Johnston Gardens was another sweet blessing this month. I immediately felt like I had known her for years when talking with her at Rhoda’s little gardening soiree. You know how hopeless I am in the plant department. But Carmen showed us some tips for making a lovely Christmas container garden. May your heart be open to new relationships and new experiences- you just may experience much blessing through them.
Keeping things simple this year has greatly reduced the stress of the season. A little touch of Christmas décor sprinkled among the usual is just right for me.
And no, I never did decorate the Christmas tree. It was a freeing moment to take those boxes back down to the basement. The lights remind me of the light we ourselves are to shine in this world. I’m content with that.
Merry Christmas, dear friends. I’ll be taking the rest of the week off, but I’ll see you the following week, ok? Love you all. ♥
