Hey, guys! Today I want to show you how I added one more update on Francesca- decoupage postcard drawers.
You remember Francesca, don’t you? She is the French-y little end table with the postcard graphic on the top.
She was looking fine, all gussied up, but she had a dirty little secret.
And you know what mama always said about making sure you have clean drawers in case you’re ever in an accident.
Sooo, I did a little sprucing up. Yeah, yeah, I know, I swore I’d given up on decoupage after the decoupage pumpkin fail. What can I say? I had that big ol’ bottle of Mod Podge left over. I used it to glue scrapbook paper to the bottom of the drawers, and in keeping with the postcard theme on top, I printed more postcards from Graphics Fairy, cut them out, and added them as well. After everything was glued down, I went over it all with more Mod Podge.
The solid purple paper doesn’t look as pretty as the script paper I used in the first drawer. Ah, well, just using what I had on hand.
Much better! Francesca has clean drawers, mama is happy, all is right with the world.
What creative or unusual way do you line drawers?

Thanks so much, Mel. I use my inkjet. I wish I had a laser printer so I wouldn’t have to run out for copies when I’m doing transfers!
Hi Sheila. What a great transformation. Shall definitely file it in my memory bank. ☺

Thank you so much for the idea. I had old love letter and envelopes from my great grandma that I saved just because. I am gathering everything up and going to do this to the dresser drawers in the antique dresser she left to me. What an awesome way to personalize a family treasure!
Very pretty, Sheila! Love how you carried the postcard theme inside the drawers.
So pretty, Sheila. What a great idea! You really dressed up Francesca! She looks wonderful!
