Country Living Fair Atlanta 2012

The Country Living Fair Atlanta 2012 came to Stone Mountain this weekend, and wow, was there a lot of eye candy to devour!

While waiting in line to get our tickets, I ran into Shirley from Housepitality Designs and Kim from Savvy Southern Style. My friend Debbie was kind enough to come along with me and endure all the blog talk. Smile

A group of bloggers and HomeTalk’ers got together and met at the pumpkin pile near the entrance. I didn’t get a picture, but Beth from Unskinny Boppy was kind enough to share.

Pam from Junk and Stuff Antiques had a great booth full of vintage décor and clothing. Betsy from Coastal Colors grabs a photo op with Pam, while Angie from Slipcovered Grey models a gorgeous hat.

Rustic and vintage seemed to be the theme this year.

Remember my drawer turned memo board? How about adding legs to a drawer? I love these framed pieces, too.

These large fleurs de lis would make great chalk boards.

Stephanie from Rustoleum was kind enough to invite our group of bloggers to a presentation of their newest product, Tile Transformations, that allows you to refurbish your tired old shower tile. Betsy gets hands-on with the demo. (Not a paid endorsement here, just sharing our day.) Smile

Ok, back to shopping! We’ve all seen the book page wreaths around blog land. How about angel wings made from rolled up sheet music? Aren’t these gorgeous?

My favorite booth was probably the one with this artwork made from vintage sewing patterns. The lamp shades made from pattern envelopes (different booth) are a creative idea, too.

We had perfect weather for a day at the Country Living Fair. I didn’t buy anything other than food- I find it hard to adjust my price limits after shopping thrift stores! What is your favorite part of fairs? The food? The inspiration? Or shopping ‘til you drop?

Thanks for all the great photos and inspiration. It is refreshing to see creative minds producing thoughtful work so far beyond the redundant look-a-likes in the retail market. This is re-cycling.
