Table Trouble

Remember this table that I had such trouble refinishing? It took a lot of hair-pulling to finally get a really nice looking finish.

But the trouble wasn’t over. Here’s what happened just before a potential buyer was supposed to come and look at it.

I picked at one little spot that looked funky.

It’s kinda’ like when you get a really bad sunburn and you can’t stop yourself from picking and peeling all that dead skin.

    Oh mooooooooooo!!!
    I “peel” your pain.
Can’t wait to see how you fix this because I know you will!

    • Ha, very funny! Yes, it’s almost finished (famous last words)!

Well, that was a typo….it should have been….

        “Oh noooooooo!”

Unless of course you used milk paint, than I guess the original version is appropriate.

Next time I will put on glasses before I respond.

  2. Oh no! I could just imagine how scary you must have been to see this happening. I hope everything turned out ok.

  3. Your beautiful table reminds me of a vanity I painted! This is horrible! I would have cried!I can’t wait to the final reveal!

I guess at least it happened before the potential buyer bought it and took it home! I’m sure you will be able to fix it. :)

    • Thanks, Stephanie. The “incident” happened just a short time before the appointment. I was praying she would cancel on me, and she did! :)

  6. Ohhh, Nooooohhhh. That is sad. Looking forward to your solution and redo.
